Adam Schoenfeld

If you mention the name Adam Schoenfeld in one of the many poker rooms around Las Vegas you are not likely to get much of a response.  While there are those that do recognize the name many will not and that is all right with the young player.  Schoenfeld is more than happy with his less than celebrity status because he says that his anonymity gives him the edge over the famous players.  His youthful appearance makes a good many players underestimate his skills and they will make costly mistakes all to the better for Schoenfeld.  There is some talk that Schoenfeld will make a run on the top spot in the next few years but that is not for certain.  This is mainly due to the fact that he enjoys the live action play in his hometown of  New York so much.

The coming of age with poker has spawned more than its fair share of rooms to play in, some of which run to the high stakes and can become rather dangerous.  Schoenfeld admits to being a rounder and playing even in the most dangerous of high stakes games around the famed city but he actually prefers to be above the law and remain in good graces with the police.  Little can be said that is bad about his play and he has amassed quite a nice sized fortune from his winnings.  All of the buy ins he considers to be investments in the future, a future that could hold the top honors in poker.

While Schoenfeld is concentrating mainly on his live action play he has also taken the time to join the World Poker Tour.  During his entrants into this area he learned some valuable lessons and won a fair share of money in the process.  He chalks this up to his high level of respect to the veteran players and all that they have to say about poker in general.  While he has faced some of the biggest names in the game, you will never hear him down playing their skills.

Schoenfeld is known for his talking around the table, as he says that he prefers to keep the atmosphere light because long hours at the tables can be overly boring.  This has made him well liked by some and very hated by others.  All of this matters very little to Schoenfeld and he says that the bulk of the veterans are receptive to  his style of play.
