Deuces Wild Video Poker

The first and foremost thing that you need to remember when playing a game of Deuces Wild is that all four of the Deuces (twos) in the deck are Wild and can be used for absolutely any other card in the deck regardless of rank or suit. Never discard a deuce when playing this game! Other than those variations, this game is played exactly like a game of 5 card draw, where the object is to get the best 5 card poker hand possible. The hand rankings are basically the same as other video poker games, but since they do vary slightly, the hand rankings for Deuces Wild (from Highest to Lowest ) are:

Royal Flush - (no deuces) : This hand is composed of the A, K, Q, J, and 10, all of the same suit and generally pays out 4,000 coins (occasionally, more) when 5coins are bet.
Four Deuces - self explanatory
Wild Royal Flush - Any Royal Flush that contains one or more deuces.
Five of a Kind - Any five cards of the same rank (involves the use of one or more deuces).

Straight Flush - Five numerically consecutive cards of the same suit. For example, 4,5,6,7 and 8 of Clubs.
Four of a Kind - Any hand with four cards of the same rank.
Full House - A 3 of a Kind plus a Pair.

Flush - Any five cards of the same suit, these cards need not be in any particular numerical order. Straight - Any five numerically consecutive cards that are not in the same suit.

Three of a Kind - Any three cards of the same rank.

Now that you are aware of the hands and their rankings, we would like to offer a basic strategy for playing Deuces Wild Video Poker. The following will offer tips on what to do with certain hands that you are dealt.

4 Deuces - keep all 5 cards - there is no way to improve this hand
3 Deuces - If you have a wild Royal Flush or a 5 of a Kind, keep all 5 cards. In any other case, hold the Deuces only.
2 Deuces - If you have a 4 of a Kind or better or 4 to a Royal Flush, keep those cards. If you have any other hand, hold the Deuces only.
1 Deuce - Keep any hand that is an automatic win, 4 to a Royal Flush, 4 to a Straight Flush and 3 to a Royal Flush. In any other case, keep only the Deuce.
Hands with No Deuce:
- Keep any hand that is an automatic win and 4 to a Royal Flush
- Keep any 4 to a Straight Flush
- Keep any 3 to a Royal Flush
- Keep any Pair
- Only keep 2 Pair if a Full House pay is equal to 4 of a Kind pay on the machine you are on
- Keep 4 to a Flush
- Keep 4 to a Straight
- Keep 3 to a Straight Flush
- Keep 2 to a Royal Flush
- Draw 5 new cards if dealt any other hand.
