The most famous casinos in the world are situated in Las Vegas. Some of these casino's are famed for their size, others for their entertainment programs and some of them for the famous people who are residents of the casino hotels. On this page you can find reviews of some of the most legendary casinos of Las Vegas.

Caesars Palace
The Caesars Palace is a representation of the former glory of Rome. It reopened in 1966 and is definitely one of the most see attractions of Vegas. The casino is located in the center of the Las Vegas Strip. In 2000 Caesars Palace made a drastic change in their entertainment program, starting shows with Celin Dion and Elton John, making the casino the most wanted entertainment location of Vegas.

The thousands of hotel rooms of Caesars Palace are build in the luxurious Roman atmosphere. And inspired by Rome's famous Baths of Caracalla, Caesars Place build the beautiful Garden of the Gods pools and gardens existing of four swimming pools surrounded by graceful fountains and classic statues. The casino has 25 restaurants and cafés that feature some of the biggest names in the industry: Wolfgang Puck's Spago and Chinois, French chef Jean-Marie Josselin's 808 and the Palm Restaurant.

For a taste of the legendary past of Caesars, visitors should eat out at Nero's steak house and dance in Cleopatra's Barge Nightclub, a floating cocktail lounge in Caesars Palace.

Flamingo Las Vegas
The Flamingo Las Vegas casino was opened in 1946 and was financed by Bugsy Siegel. The story goes that he named the casino after his showgirl girlfriend, because she had such beautiful long legs. Unfortunately Bugsy was never around to see the opening of the casino, since he died 6 months before the opening.

The Flamingo Las Vegas has 3,565 guest rooms, including 63 luxury suites and 144 mini suites overlooking flourishing Caribbean Landscaping surrounded by Olympic-size pools, whirlpool spas and a waterslide. In the gardens you can find a small zoo with African penguins, Chilean flamingos, black-necked swans, Gambel's quail, Japanese koi fish, grass carp, albino channel catfish, macaws and cockatoos. Flamingo Las Vegas also has a Garden Chapel, a Spa and a Flamingo Tennis Club.

 

Inside the casino, famous Gladys Knight sings in the Flamingo Las Vegas show room. All the casino games are available at the Flamingo Las Vegas ranging from slot machines to million-dollar keno games.

Bellagio
The Bellagio is one of the most luxurious casinos in the world. It is a 3,933 room resort situated in the middle of the Vegas Strip. The resort has a Tuscan theme and gives the players the feeling of gambling in an Italian town near Lake Como.

The Bellagio has water dancing chows on a eight-acre lake, that is surrounded by super deluxe guest rooms and suites, restaurants, entertainment halls, shops and gaming options.  The international Cirque du Soleil performs in the Bellagio.

The Bellagio Casino is a spacious, European casino were you can play games like Blackjack, European roulette or pai gow.

In the Bellagio you can find the most prestigious shops as Giorgio Armani, Prada, Chanel and Tiffany & Co. The Bellagio also features a stylish swimming pool in a Mediterranean style with relaxing pools and spa's surrounded by a tropical garden.

Aladdin Resort and Casino
The Aladdin Resort opened its doors in August 2000. In 2006, the Aladdin will transform into a Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, but until now the casino will feature the mysterious eastern atmosphere.

The Aladdin Resort has award-winning restaurants, a beautiful spa, a Maroccan-themed shopping mall and a 100,000 square-feet casino. The casino has 2,093 slot machines, 12 table poker rooms and 72 table games.

Next to the casino lies a 450,000 square-feet shopping mall with 140 fancy boutiques and many famous restaurants.

The resort has 2,567 big sized guest rooms with marble bathrooms, build-in personal computers and several other luxuries. There are also 2 Aladdin swimming pools surrounded by private therapy rooms, massage rooms and a full-service hair and nail salon.

Harrah's Las Vegas Hotel & Casino
The carnival-themed Harrah's casino is located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, and is probably the most famous casino on the strip.

Harrah's hosts many shows with well-known singers and artists. A great show at Harrah's is the 'Mac King Show', a funny show for all ages, held 2 times a day, 5 times a week. Harrah's also offers a Piano show in the new Piano Bar, with a talented twin playing the piano. Harrah's has live entertainment in the casino and in all their bars and restaurants. Harrah's also hosts adult-only shows.

Harrah's has three hotel towers with 2,579 rooms, including 164 luxury suites with everything you ever wanted in a hotel room like a health dub, a beauty salon, swimming pools and a full-service spa.

Harrah's casino features 78 table games, 1,460 slots machines and a sports and race book.

Excalibur Hotel & Casino
The Excalibur Hotel & Casino is surrounded by white castle walls and when you walk in it will take you back to the heroic days of King Arthur.

In the resort there are several forms of medieval entertainment like the 'Tournament of Kings Diners Show', a three course meal, and minstrels and magicians passing by and do their own acts. There is a medieval village in the Excalibur resort, where you can find all kind of medieval-themed games, and dozens of shops and restaurants in the same theme.

The Excalibur also features Canterbury Wedding Chapels and more live entertainment in Merlin's Theater.
